Drew was in a wedding I shot a year ago and then I met his fiance Kileen several months later at my church. We hung out a couple of times with a bunch of friends and I felt like I had known them for much longer. I shot their engagement photos a couple months ago and we had a great time (despite getting kicked out of Easton for trespassing).
Their wedding day was a rainy one. They had asked me to keep it in my prayers as they were planning on an outdoor wedding and didn’t want to move it under the tent. It didn’t look good as we drove out past Marysville to their wedding site. But about ten minutes before we got there, the clouds started to roll back and the sun started to creep out. Though the smell of rain was still in the air it became obvious that our prayers had been answered. It ended up being a beautiful evening for their wedding. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place (including mine) as they said their handwritten vows. We even had an amazing sunset and I had the opportunity to shoot a portrait of the newlyweds in the same way I shot their engagements.
I wish everything went this beautifully.
