I built this pinhole camera in my “Alternative Camera” class at Ohio State a number of years ago and I came across it the other day.
I made a simple box and sealed the inside with electric tape to make it light tight. I then used a lego with a hole in it as my aperture hole. When the camera was actually functioning it had a piece of foil tape with a pinhole in it (a hole as large as the Lego hole would be far too big). I used black and white 4x5” film cut in half, taped to the inside, opposite the hole (emulsion side facing out). The exposure time fluctuated based on the lighting, but this image taken by lamp light took about 45 minutes to properly expose.
